Have You Ever

created something in your mind, say, a personal food blog, and instantly knew what you were going to call it (Culinarily Speaking, for example), then thought about it all night long and then woke up and did a search, only to find out that someone already had a blog by that name, but you didn't care because you thought of it before you ever heard of it from anyone else and plus that blog was on wordpress and there was no such blog on blogger so you went to create your blog, assuming you could use the blog title for the URL only to find that someone already has the URL although they didn't seem to be using it so you tried to cleverly alter the title for your URL and you came up with a silly-but-okay-for-a-URL URL, such as culinarilisaspeaking only to find yourself wondering if maybe you shouldn't rename the blog CulinariLisa Speaking or maybe CulinariLee Speaking or CulinariLis Speaking or any of a number of other, um, clever names only to stop the idiocy just in time to prevent yourself from making that grievious mistake and go back to just plain Culinarily Speaking? Well, I've done that. Just once though, thank heavens.

I agonized over the name of my blog and changed it so many times before really creating it. It was so much work.

(p.s. If you can't use Culinarily Speaking...I like CulinariLee Speaking, great play on the title) =)

Nice. Fun to do new blogs! I have had one in mind for a long time, finally started it, but can't seem to decide what I'm going to do with it. Good luck with the new project!

I can't really say I've ever done that...lol.And I also like CulinariLee as an option. Looking forward to it!

And what's with the "expecting baby #5"? Leftover from yesterday's festivities I'm guessing. lol

Funny! Love the run-on sentence, btw.

Would you have Polish recipes on this blog????

What? No link? I'm all agog to read this new blog (rhyming horribly, unforgivably intentional).

Bwaahhhaaa! I did once come up with what I thought was an incredibly unique and awesome idea for a book (I was 19 or 20, I think) and walked into a bookstore very shortly thereafter to see the very same book staring me in the face. I guess I was right about it being awesome--just not the unique part. At any rate, I hate it when that happens.

I totally understand. Drives me insane when I get a great new idea, only to find that someone else already did it. And then, you know what? When you go to check out that blog, the one that should have been yours, and you read it, and it's really dumb, and you know you could have done better if they had just let you have the stupid name ... yeah, I hear ya.

Nope, I've never done that.

Well, thank goodness you only did it the once. Phewsh!

But yes, I've done it. Back when I had a scrapbooking blog. And I changed the name to something slightly less clever. And I never liked it. and the person who used the original name never even did a darn thing with her blog. Made me mad.

But I'm over it now. :)

So, did you set the blog up? Will you be telling us about it?

P.S. Cute blog background, by the way. I like it!
