What Kind of Question Is That?

Heather of The Extraordinary Ordinary asked:
I want to know what ONE blog you would read if you could only read ONE for the rest of your life forever and ever only ONE. (Please don't think I'm looking for you to say MINE, I'm really honestly not) I love to know what blogs are people's absolute favorites because it tells me something about them and gives me a possible lead on a new blog to love.

Um, why didn't you just ask which of my three children I like best? I would be equally willing and able to answer. As in not at all. (Sorry! And plus, on the post where I asked for questions, I was going to use as an example of a controversial question that I wouldn't answer, "What's your favorite blog" but then changed it to the carpal tunnel thing. For reals!)

But I will pass along the award you gave me, Heather. But first I'll thank you for it, very kindly!

So I have my own new rule you may remember of only passing awards on to one person. Heather did this, too, and I like it so I'm going to pass this award, which is in recognition of a blogger who something about is your friend and blogging makes you closer or makes the world shrink or something and to show the marvels and to do friendship. That's my version, anyway, which I typed up for you all so it would be perfectly clear and understandable in case you have a hard time figuring out the translation into "English" that it came with:

"This blog invests and believes, the proximity. They all are charmed with the blogs, wherein the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate? Then let's try to give more attention to them!"

So the person I'm passing it on to is sort of a lot of things I'd like to be, or at least she surely seems like it based on her blog and comments on this and other blogs:

She is sophisticated.
She thinks about important things, and then blogs about them.
She is lovely. She looks almost like a model in most of her pictures. Even the ones where she's crossing her eyes.
She is very uplifting and encouraging.
She is a good example.
She is a good writer.
She has FOUR BOYS* plus a husband under her watch and care and seems to be not only surviving but thriving.
She is going to agree to meet me some day when I'm in Utah visiting my mother.

And her name is Kazzy and her blog is called Kazzy's Ponderings and I really like them both.
Okay, one of the boys is not exactly under her watch and care, as he's out of the country(missionary), but still.

I really like Dede's blog: http://dederyan.blogspot.com/ She is an amazing photographer, and make funny and interesting comments about her photographs. I couldn't stop at one, sorry, I also like http://belinablueeyes.blogspot.com/ Abby is an excellent writer and a deep thinker. I also think deeply when I read her blog.

So I just went and checked out Kazzy's blog and man, I can't believe I've never been there before. I'm definitely going back.

As for choosing a blog I just can't miss...too hard, because I read different blogs for different reasons. Some make me laugh and some make me think, and some inspire me.

I'll ponder on that for a while, but I don't think I'm going to be able to pick just one. If I can, then I'll come back.

I love Kazzy too.

I love it that you almost said "don't ask me what my favorite blog is" and then I sort of asked that. oops.

The meaning of that award is so hard to understand. Lost in translation. But the clear parts make it sound like a really cool award-a great concept. It really did make me think of you, so far away and yet I feel like your right here! :)

Ah, GREAT CHOICE! I LOVE Kazzy! (Never mind that I've known her and considered her one of my best friends for going on TWENTY YEARS now!) She is AMAZING! You captured her well in your description. And she is definitely one that makes the world feel like a smaller place, even when she's contributing on a giant scale. Now that we're blogging, I love her in a whole new way....

I also love YOURS. I couldn't possibly have chosen a single blog, and I mean that. Because blogging does exactly that...brings us closer. And now I'm talking to people I've never met whose friendship I value immensely.

I only read a handful of blogs because I always want to care about these writers this much. But i love them all! If I read you, it means I can't live without you!

I recommended your blog to my younger sister, in Arizona. Something about you reminds me of her. Not sure if she's stopped by yet...she rarely comments. But I know if she reads you she'll feel the kind of kinship I do.

So when you come visit Kazzy in Utah...come see me too!

I am blown away! Thanks so much, Lisa, and anyone else who thinks something nice about me. I am really touched. You know, in person I am a pretty fun-loving person, but when I write I find myself a little bit contemplative. I just hope I don't come across as morose. Thanks for your friendship across all of the miles we cover. I am so glad to have made what I consider to be REAL friends through blogging. You guys are the best.

Well, now I'm going to have to check her out!

I love learning about new blogs from other people whose blogs I love and respect! (Did that make any sense?)

Tricky question indeed! I can maybe narrow it down to half a dozen? Which include The Extraordinary Ordinary, The Write Stuff, Divergent Pathways, If You Give a Mom a Moment, Navel Gazing at its Finest, and in all honest, for real, yours.

Those are the ones that, lately anyway, have really been making me think. I have some blogging friends who are like family now, and their blogs aren't necessarily on that list. Maybe because I have other ways of partaking in their loveliness or something. Those six though are tops in blogs that move me and inspire me.

No kidding, chosing one blog is just about the same as chosing one child, absolutely impossible.
