What Happens When You Mix Languages

We almost choked on our sandwiches, with this one.
na pół = in half (prounounced "nah poo")
na = on, in, for etc.

We were eating grilled tuna and cheese on this funky, monster huge bread. David was struggling with his and told me, "I need my sandwich to be on pół."

I believe I'll keep this one in my files for whenever I'm feeling sad or depressed. I laugh every single time I think about it.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, did he say he needs his sandwich to be on poo?

That is correct. What? Don't your kids sometimes refuse to eat something unless it's on poo?

(BTW I'm totally not a potty humor kinda person, but this was an honest and very funny/disgusting mistake)

Funny when I figured out it sounded like "poo". Take off the w at the end. I love to hear those mix-ups and I love that your kids get them too!

Well, that's the limit. You've explained to me many times about the way Poles eat their sandwiches. The way they like to use so many ingredients and just stack them on each other, but quite honestly, having a sandich on poo is just a bit much!
