Women

Happy Women's Day to all you great women!

One of my favorite women in the world came to visit this week. She's my mom and she was here for five days. She is such a pleasure to talk to. She is such a great grandma and I was reminded of my own childhood while she was here.

I'm so grateful my kids got to feel her love up close for a while in our own home. I appreciate that she came to be here and help out with Spencer's blessing and David's baptism yesterday. Having her here made those important moments even more special. I am proud she is my mom and I aspire to be like her in many ways.

So I think this holiday (which claims to be international but definitely skipped the U.S.) is supposed to be about men appreciating women, but I appreciate them, too. My mom and sisters, as well as all the good friends I keep here in my computer. Happy Day, Women!

There are so many women in my life that I love and respect. My mom, MIL, besties, sister, etc. And my blog friends too.

I had one son baptized and another blessed on the same weekend years back. That was exhausting but wonderful.

XO

Your mom rocks! How wonderful that she came to be there to help, to visit, and to love. That's the kind of mom I want to be.

Happy Women's Day! I appreciate you. =]

What a great mother you have!

I love how you keep all of us friends in your computer, like you can pull us out any time to play. :) Happy Women's Day to you too.

You're so lucky to have a wonderful mom. Mine was an incredible grandma and example to me as well, and I miss her terribly!

I almost think the US needs a Man's Day. Seems like all we do is belittle men here--from the tv shows to everything else. I think we've gone way over the top femi-nazi here.

I'd forgotten about 8 Martie....huge holiday in Romania, too.

Happy Women's Day to you too!

Wow, thanks for the reminder, I think this was the first Women's Day that we have missed since we got married, maybe because we don't talk to Russian ladies on a daily basis anymore. I'll have to remind him, because I usually get flowers or chocolate or something.

I got flowers and candy on the LOT airline flights out of Krakow and Warsaw! United from Chicago? Nada. :D

But the best gift was the beautiful family Lisa and Greg are raising. I miss them. I had a truly wonderful time!
