For People Who Care

Or mostly for my kids (and myself) who love to come on my blog and watch whatever videos are posted here, especially our favorites, like this one. I think in this one I was pregnant with Aaron but didn't know it until about a week after we got home from the trip. So he was there with us, he was just too small to see. Oh, and he was a little hidden anyway, I guess.

In this one Greg has used another song from the same album as the one with Aaron singing at 7 months. I know it's a strange genre (Polish folk punk?) but we love it and the footage really brings back the feel of that awesome (only three day!) vacation. So I'm posting it here. It's about a haunted forest (ooooooo!). Cousins might like it.

That video is awesome! Great job Greg. I love to see your kids dance. So is the forest haunted by Greg and Lisa disappearing and reappearing or is it _really_ haunted?

I think that one of the best things about a blog is watching those videos. We never watch family videos except for the ones on the blog. And it is so nice for friends and family to watch them because you get a totally different sense of the kids from a video than from a picture.

Ha! See how I tricked you? The forest WAS haunted by Pawlik creatures, and I can't imagine anything scarier than THAT! No, the video was shot on our hike up to a mountain top castle (which has some romantic story attached to it that we can't remember). The only thing scary about that hike, besides the fact that it took us 6 hours there and back and the hike to the castle (one way) was supposed to take 45 minutes, was when David was sure that there were bats living in a crack in a large rock.

Terrific video, Greg! Great editing and what a lovely place. It reminds me of some video we have of the Woods and the Pawliks going to Morskie Oko in Zakopane. I love the sound of the clip-clopping horse and the rushing waterfall. I also recall Lydia laughing hysterically for Lisa once we got there, something her parents now do while reading her blog (except that morose one on the "The Russians" . ..).

I've heard of the Karkonosze, but have never been. Now they're on my list.

Clever lyrics on the song--that is I think they're clever, as I had a hard time making out what a lot of them were. Humbling. . . Clearly there were lots of things that came in sevens. . .

I'm contemplating buying Pawlik Studios stocks, it looks like it has real promise :)
