She's Younger and Faster

. . .And that's why she tagged me. I've mentioned before about Olivia, who I babysat along with her twin sisters when I was first married. I gained invaluable experience from that "job" (it wasn't work, mostly pleasure) and made some really invaluable friends. They are a wonderful family.

I am dying a little because not only is Olivia in JR HIGH now, she recently had a birthday and I think she must be thirteen! AAK! How old am I!! So Livvy keeps a blog (a great one, private though) and she's tagged me. I'm going to do this tag because it was fun to read Olivia's and also in hopes of receiving forgiveness for all the times I yelled at her when I was babysitting. Oh wait. I never yelled at her. That was back before I knew you could yell at kids. Lucky Livvy!

This tag is full of the vaguest questions imaginable. So vague, in fact, that I was unable to call on my imagination for such a monstrous task. But I did have fun. And I really enjoyed how there were apostrophes in all the wrong places throughout the questions, like in the middle of the word "were" when it didn't mean "we are." It added greatly to the entertainment factor. Plus her answers were great, too. Sorry, but I edited the entertainment factor out of the questions. I answered these last night:

Where is your phone? On the stairs where it belongs.
Where is your significant other? In the living room where he belongs.
Your hair color? blond gone horribly wrong (read: dark)
Your mother? is short and wise
Your father? is tall and fitter than a man his age (or any age, really) should be.
Your favorite thing? Nothing general about this question. Food? Blogging? Reading?
Your dream last night? Do most people remember their dreams every night? If so, no fair.
Your dream/goal? to have patience
Your hobby? Um, I'll give you a hint, it's the main thing you know about me. (Besides the living in Poland, although that is certainly one of my hobbies. One which I'm pretty good at. Better than you, for sure. Don't worry, though; I'm sure if you tried, you could be good at it, too.)
Room you're in? The library (really a room full of piles of books and papers.)
Your fear? I'm fearless. Okay, being eaten by a dog.
Where do you want to be in six years? Same place I always want to be. Wherever I'm supposed to be.
Where were you last night? in the living room having a makeshift Sacrament meeting and Primary because David was too coughy to go to church so we all stayed home (a downside to having church forever away)
One of your wish list items? Don't you read my blog? SHELVES!
What you're not? an elephant
Where you grew up? Utah until age 11, California after that. And usually in my house.
The last thing you did? Well, I just scratched my nose. Swept the stairs.
Your TV? Fine thank you. How is yours?
Your pets? non existent (we're away from home too often!)
Your computer? poor and old
Your mood? tired
Missing someone? Always. There's a list.
Your car? In the garage in desperate need of a washing.
Something you're not wearing? a wig
Your summer? ended a while back
Love someone? Hmm. Nope.
Your favorite color? PERIWINKLE
When was the last time you laughed? Right after I typed Nope. (I'm being honest here. and really, what kind of question is "Love someone?" unless you're asking Lucifer, answers shouldn't vary all that much.)
Last time you cried? Wow! I can't remember! That means it might have been more than two days ago! Definitely some sort of record.

As far as tagging, I'd really like to read answers to these questions from all of you. Maybe you can just choose one question to answer in the comments? Except not the "Love someone?" one because it will be way too easy to tell by your answer whether or not you're Lucifer, and you maybe don't want everyone to know that.
Bonus points for anyone who answers ALL the questions on their blog!

Your answer are trés amusing. I love the vague questions, and can only imagine the entertaining spelling and punctuation.

Our tv? is never watched. We have a projector for watching movies. And a little tiny tv in a little tiny room in the basement for video games. And that is all. It's more than enough.

Love the phone on the stairs, and everything and everyone where they belong...

My computer is new and beautiful! Thanks for the short tag!

Heather said...

That was so funny! Both the questions and your answers. I might answer them on my blog after I get through Thanksgiving. Don't you have any bigger fears than being eaten by a dog?

I miss my family in Utah. And the last thing I did? Picked up my daughter and decided she was poopy and needs a diaper change. My am I glamorous.

Annette Lyon said...

Hah! The wig and Lucifer comments got me snorting.

I'll probably do this in a couple of days. (Thanks for editing the "fun" out of the questions. My inner editor thanks you.)

I love reading these, but my fav answer was where do you want ot be in 6 years! That is the best answer I have EVER read on any of these tags!

Very clever! Of you, that is . . the questions are clever too. I dreamed last night that my little guy got up and started freaking out that we forgot to put his clothes in the dryer last night and then I, with great pleasure, informed him that I had done it after he went to bed and not to worry because he had clean dry clothes to wear. I am easily amused. Apparently.

The thing I am most afraid of--the wrath of the Middle Child should I forget to put her clothes in the dryer after she goes to bed forgetting to do it herself.

Where I grew up: numerous places in Washington and Utah states. I moved 29 times by the time I was 18, including almost a whole year spent living in tents on a mountainside that my dad purchased for subdivision. Now, I'm the only one in my family who has lived in one place for more than 2 years strait. I'm I rebel, Dottie.

Where do you want to be in 6 years - BEST ANSWER EVER! You win!

Last thing I did - Went running and then made a giant pot of herb tea because I'm freezing!

Lisa, I hesitate to use the word "duh" here, but...I already knew you weren't an elephant.

Becky said...

You're not an elephant? Oh, man... You may have just moved down a rung on the cool ladder. :)

Trying to out Lucifer here on your blog?
I just had to smile when your wish list item was shelves... I thought I was the only one who asks for shelves every birthday/Christmas/mother's day and is disappointed by the severe lack of shelves among my gifts!!!!

Kazzy said...

We need shelves sooo much too! Stacks of books in the den, in the coat closet. Some pretty funny questions there!

Ok my answer is to the dream one. Maybe you can interpret it.

"So I am Harry Potter with the powers of Sylar in Heroes. There was a monster in the ventalation at a grocery store and everyone knew I had powers. So I pull out this animated letter which was written by Sirius from beyond the grave. He tells me that I need to freeze him and tear out his heart and say a spell (I cannot remember the spell) So I am about to say the spell after I took out the monster's heart. And then I woke up.

Now that is pretty crazy dream huh? Must have been those stale crackers I ate.

HA, HA!! I get bonus points because I've already done this tag! I'll have to dig it out somewhere and post it again, just for you.

But, come to think of it, it's already obsolete because the answers when I did the tag are completely different than the answers would be now...

Whatever. Click on the "Tags" link under the "Filing Cabinet in my brain" for all the tags I've done. Only if you're really interested. And only if you have nothing else better to do.

*GASP* you love periwinkle too!? It's not my favorite color, but my favorite word. =D

Good answers--sounds like those myspace surveys that make the rounds (not that I'd know really...). Ok here goes "Your car?" a very reliable, but very dirty little Honda Civic but I love it anyway, and today I fit a play kitchen and a big castle toy box into it, and then I took them down to the consignment shop to make a little money. I can fit an amazing amount of stuff in that little car! (umm quite the run-on sentence, oh well!)

Erin said...

My favorite answer was "being eaten by a dog." Do you have scary rabid dogs in Poland??

Steph @ Diapers and Divinity said...

These tag questions are almost as funny as your answers. Here's my participation:

What you're not? Pregnant. Thank goodness!

Alison Wonderland said...

Obviously, I'll do anything for bonus points.
Where is your phone? At home.
Where is your significant other? At home.
Your hair color? Blonde, red, brown. Higlights are fun.
Your mother? Amazing.
Your father? My hero.
Your favorite thing? Sleep.
Your dream last night? I don't remember which is actually weird because I usually do.
Your dream/goal? Finish the stupid kitchen.
Your hobby? The stupid kitchen.
Room you're in? Operating. (But this part is really more of a hallway.)
Your fear? Never finishing the stupid kitchen.
Where do you want to be in six years? In my finished kitchen. (Is anyone else picking up on a theme here?)
Where were you last night? Operating.
One of your wish list items? I'm not going to bother answering that one. If you can't figure it out, you have bigger problems.
What you're not? Lucifer. (And there goes all the suspence.)
Where you grew up? Virginia.
The last thing you did? Ate.
Your TV? Not here.
Your pets? Don't exist
Your computer? My favorite thing.
Your mood? Meh.
Missing someone? Not particularly.
Your car? Parked at the train stop.
Something you're not wearing? Heels.
Your summer? I forget.
Love someone? Lots.
Your favorite color? Orange.
When was the last time you laughed? Reading this post.
Last time you cried? On the way to work tonight. Stupid country music.

I envy your humor, especially the end note about not answering the love question.

On my wish list: bookshelves and room to have them.

Melissa Bastow said...

I saw this list in an email once. But it required one word answers. I like yours better. One word isn't enough to say anthing. Except for "sheesh." Sheesh conveys enough meaning, don't you think? I like sheesh. But I guess that doesn't really fit into any of those questions anyway.

Oh, and here's my answer:

My Tv? Lonley, at present. I'm sure we'll join him later though. Dora can only be absent for so long when I have laundry to fold.

Kimberly said...

This made me giggle. I'm too lazy to answer all the questions with anything like your creativity.

Anne said...

My dreams are about the only thing I can remember!! Almost every time I sleep I could tell you what I dreamed about!

This was so much fun to read!
I love your mom and dad answers...
